door lock actuator

My Drivers lock stopped working and i need to fix it. I pulled the panel off and played witht the wires. It worked for a day, then dead again. I hate opening with the key, and not the remote..Any ideas on a fix?

You probably need to replace the actuator..

I was hoping you wouldnt say that. I cant find a DIY on the actuator. Where can i get an idea on how to swap it out? Or can someone give me an idea on how its done?

I haven't done the job before, so maybe someone else will chime in. GL.

My drivers side actuator is malfunctioning as well, but only when it's < 40 degreesF, since I live in AZ, I'm not going to worry about it now until I have another reason to visit the dealer. It is frustrating and embarrassing to say the least when you have to use the key though, I know.

I got actuator for sale if you interested. Very-very easy to replace:

1. Remove door panel
2. Unbolt old actuator
3. Disconnect the cables
4. Install new one and put everything else back.

I thought the actuator is attached to the lock assembly. So, don't you have to unbolt the entire lock assembly (along with removing all the connecting rods) before you can get to the actuator?

No front driver door only.

It is used but in excellent condition. It's not from my X, I thought my actuator was broken and I bought this one but actually it was electrical issue. I fully tested it, works perfect.

Yes actuator is attached to the lock assembly it is one part and you have to unbolt entire lock assembly. I'm selling entire lock assembly with the motor. Here is the pic.
