Muffler-Exhaust???
 

Why cant our X's use a flowmaster, borla, magnaflow muffler or exhaust??

Because they don't make 'em for us?
I have a Borla on my V8 Explorer since I bought it in '96. Sounds great!

I guess thats my point. It doesnt need to be made for us. All we need are 2 mufflers, and and a shop to weld. Cut the tubes from the resonator. put in an X-Pipe, tubing up to the mufflers, then the tips. And alot less than the $1200-$1500..

ekaz had it done on his 4.8, I belive they were flowmasters with custom piping, Can anyone confirm this?? ekaz??

Correct Sir! He used a Flowmaster Series 50 in place of the resonator, and removed the oem mufflers.

Sorry guys, been tied up with things. I got the link fixed for the sound clip. As far as what I had done....
I removed the factory muffler as well as the resonators/tips out back. I replaced the muffler with a dual inlet/outlet muffler and the resonators with straight pipe and tips.

I am about to order parts for the muffler replacement. I wondered if there was any benefit to replacing the resonators with straight pipes. And 2 flowmasters to replace the old..Any thoughts?
The other option is to do exactly what ekaz did..
