Am i the only person...

that goes off roading in my X5? I don't hear much of anyone else of people taking their X5 through knee deep mud, creeks, woods, ATV paths and stuff. Am i just the only looney one?

Yes.

Yes, the most off-roading mine sees is hitting the mulch bed going out of the driveway (sorry had to quote a beer commercial there)

The X5 actually holds up very well off roading.

Except the brush guard...I dented it up going through a deep puddle and up the lip on the other side of it....came down with my tires in ruts and my brush guard was dented on the middle mound.

Doesn't exactly have the ground clearance for off-roading as I know it.

well yeah, there's no 24" lift or anything and huge tires...but it's still great.

Got any pictures of it off-road?

I've done it a few times on the X3, and it holds up surprisingly well (better than I'd expected). Oddly, the ride doesn't seem that bad when I took it on a narrow dirt trail thru a forest, although admittedly I wasn't going faster than about 10mph.

There was this memorable time when I drove it up a steep trail to get to a scenic viewpoint. Right when the hill got real steep, there was a huge embedded rock on the left half and loose gravel on the right side, and I was preparing for the worst. Interestingly enough, X3 had did it, no sweat.

Well sort of, I've had it on the beach a couple of times and down many dirt roads and fields.
