Has anyone gotten air in their X5?

I did over the summer....like good air. I was responding to a fire call and went over an intersection where the main road was raised and got some air...

me and a friend went back later and i had him stand to the side and see how much i got....it was about 2.5-3 feet of air.

Anyone else? maybe in another vehicle?

Must of been going pretty fast to get a 5000lb vehicle that far off the ground...

I got a foot or so off the ground in my 1984 Toyota Supra - it handled it surprisingly well. There's a great place in MA for having this sort of fun...

So you're trying to make it fly and take it off road...think you bought the wrong ride

I have on accident, it was late one night and I didn't see a huge dip in the road (the xenons were making a shadow over it so it looked smooth) 45-50 MPH...there was a feeling of "Oh SH*T", i don't think in damaged anything, but I would never want to that again. I have however gotten air in a Range Rover and 330i on this one bridge that I always forget to slow down for because I only drive once in 4 or 5 months, but the bridge almost "catches" car with the slope so it's no big deal...the design flaw with the bridge is that you leave the ground at 50 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.

I got big air in a 77 Chevy pickup back in 84. It was night out and I was off road in a field. When I hit the hill the headlights were pointing at the moon when the truck came down the engine shut off and the windshield cracked seat springs snapped. It was like the Dukes of Hazzard. That truck was never quite the same again.
