Hi All,

Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. x5 owner since Dec 06 after first an e36 328 and then an e46 328. Love this site - extremely helpful in deciding on my first few mods - 20" 168s, 4.8 front and rear bumpers, aluminium running boards, breyton exhaust tips and headrest dvd system.

Would like to post pics but my file sizes are too big. :dunno:

Try using a program such as irfanview to resize them.

Nice pics. That's one of my favorite colors for X5's.

it's interesting how the 3.0 X5's here in Asia come standard with wheels which are standard on the 4.4i in the states. Almost 100% of the pre-facelifted 3.0 E53's that you see here in Taiwan have the Y-spoke 19" sport package rims from the 4.4. (The ones that don't have those rims were imported from other parts of the world)

Nice rig. Those are 20" s? Gawd, mine are 18"s same style. Did not know they made 'em.

Those pics are before i put the 20" 168s on. The wheels in the pics are 18" 153s and came standard with the 3.0 here (although as China Man mentioned, its listed as standard for the 4.4). I also got the optional sports steering wheel as standard although i believe its only standard for the 4.8.

I have a 4.4 Sports. Live down South and frequent Singapore as I have an office there as well.

We could meet up sometime whenever our paths cross.

the sport steering wheel comes standard on the asian spec X5's, as well. The entire sport package comes "standard" (it's not really standard, but that's how the stealers here spec the cars to come into the country)

Nice X5! I have a 2004 in the same Sterling Grey and will be bringing it back to KL in the fourth quarter of this year when I make my move back home from Sydney.

Do you have any pictures of the car after the mods? Is it easy to find mods (rims, bumpers etc) in Malaysia?

Mods are not that hard to find as there are quite a few bmw/merc mod specialists around, although they mainly stock 3er and 5er parts. x5 parts especially big ticket items like rims and bumpers might only be available on order.
