Another Niggle. AC just quit!
 

86 degrees out and I had to change over to the Explorer cause the Ultimate Driving Maching is the ultimate oven without AC!

Nope, I'm guessing seals/recharge. Just did the FSR 2 weeks ago so the blower works great...blowing 86 degree air!:rofl:

And, of course, waited until my CPO expired.

No but my buddy is a B.S Automotive Engineering and a Master Mechanic with full automotive HVAC certified. Friday we find out the damage.

Lucky that. Z, any chance we get pix and education on that if possible???

Took the X to my mechanic. First thing we checked was the low pressure schrader valve. Popped off the cover....hisssssssssss! Fault found. Before we scheduled we checked with BMW New Country Hartford parts department as I wanted to replace the schraders preventatively. Asked if I needed to get them from BMW. Maroon (Thank you Bug Bunny!) in parts tells me they are available from NAPPA. Once we pull the parts it's obvious they are a BMW ONLY part. Spent 20 minutes talking to the maroon again as he looked in the ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM for the parts. Told 6 times AIR CONDITIONING, AIR CONDITIONING, still looking in engine cooling. Eventually decides he has only one of the valves.
Called BMW North Haven. Pleasent young lady who knew her stuff had part numbers, stock check and shipping address all done in 5 minutes.
So I have to go back Monday get the system purged, oil/R123a put in and the X will be cool again. (Unlike me at this moment!)
