Urgent help needed

I had the xenons put in today. Dave drove up from Danvers and installed them. Of course, something had to go wrong. Everything was fine until I was driving up my road tonight and noticed that the lights were flickering. I took a look at them. The xenons (low beam) will start fine when the car turns on, but between 1-3 minutes after you turn the car on, they'll both start flickering and/or go out completely... HELP! WTF is happening? What should I do? ANY info or help is appreciated.

I told ya so :D You should just stick with wheels and exhaust. Bad ballasts maybe? :dunno:

CJ,

Are they new or used?

I think they were used but barely used.

Maybe there was a reason the lights were taken off the other car they were on...

I would think that Dave will step up and take care of you, wouldn't he? Either that or else call Umnitza. Seriously, give Dave a holler.

Check on the headlight lens and see if they are ZKW or AL. If they are AL, you will probably have to replace the Xenon control units and bulbs. You can also check the production date on the yellow p/n label. AL's produced after Feb. 14 2005 are supposed to be "defect free".

I should buy a "mod safe" car... A car that I'll have no desire to mod. A Volvo Wagon is looking promising right about now. .
