Yeah that just made me want to start looking for face lift parts.

Looks great man, huge difference. I had those wheels, changing them makes a huge difference.

Good job man!

DBHW2 - your PM box is full, so here's my message -

I was wondering if you found out anything about the parking sensors. I was looking at realoem and I found this part # 66206989068. I also have a quick question, if you don't mind. Did your bumper fit on without modification? and using the old bumper support? my body shop couldn't get mine on right but I think its because they used the old parking sensors in the corners. They said I need the 4.8is bumper support to make everything fit right but the part # is the same for my 2001 3.0 on realoem. I guess I'm trying to figure out whether I have to replace the 2 outer parking sensors or the entire bumper support.
Thanks

first thing i noticed were the titanium kidney grilles and i was thinking...wait...he said a 2002 and he has a newer kidney grill...then i read more and now do notice the newer bumper as well.

i thought you just slapped on the new kidney grilles and wanted to do the same so bad but now i realized you had changed most of the front end of your X5...

looks great...blue is my fav color also...should have gotten that color too!

Boston, that's the same partnumber I got and I was about to order them for around 80 bucks each. I'm pretty sure that's why you're having fitment issues, the sensors are probably making your bumper bulge out (I'm guessing). I have my old radiator support on and except for 1 of the headlight tabs not having a hole to be screwed on everything else is flush and the fitment is perfect. If I wanted to be picky I could just drill a hole in the radiator support for the extra headlight tab but it's already pretty secure.

Great, that must be it, because the bumper fits perfectly except for right where it meets the fender (which is right above the pdc sensor). Same thing with my headlights but they're secure, and I haven't had any issues with them. Thanks, for the help I'm going to order the new sensors - and hopefully save myself a few hundred dollars.
