control arm bushings cracking

i was at the dealer today getting new brakes put on. he told me that my control arm bushing are cracking and need to be replaced and i was quoted 500 dollers. i have cpo and maintence till 100k and i asked him if it was covered and he said the cpo warrany does not honor control arm bushing. now the question i have is are they covered or not?

I would think so. I had mine done a month ago and I had it covered under my extended warranty... I feel it should...

I just had the same procedure and same question. I did find in the small print of the CPO warranty that the bushings were not covered. My job cost $700 for the two bushings

Yeah it really is odd, lots of things aren't covered which you feel should be covered. It makes you wonder about the quality of coverage...

Is it visible? Can you post pictures of the cracked bushings? I'm worried about mine now...thanks!

No bushings? thats a big class of parts

This is why CPO is next to useless...seems like unless the problem is something major, powertrain/drivetrain, they don't cover you on anything. Best of luck.

well i called him this morning to find out which ones were bad the front or the rear and he said the front. so i went underneath the car and i checked everything i mean everything i was down there for a while and saw no cracks anywhere on the bushings. so iam wondering if he was giving me bs. what are the symptoms to cracked bushings?

It would be leaking a fluid out. Like blackish grey...
