Glove Box Removal
 

Hi Folks

I tried a search and came back with no results.

I am trying to install the AUX connector and one of the steps is to remove the glove box to route the cable as well as mount the mini-connector.

No matter how I tried, so far I have not been successful in removing the glove box. For you folks out there who have been successful in removing your glove box to install the AUX kit, can you tell me how the glove box is removed from the housing?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated

I haven't removed the glovebox; however, Step 3 of PersonaNonGrata's detailed "iPodYourBMW Installation Instructions" X5world Article explains the glove box removal procedure.

I had removed the 4 screws but didn't seem to be able to remove the left side "strut".

I guess it is already dark now and will try again tomorrow when there is light

why are links dead?

Need help removing Glovebox Housing.
Seems like one side is hard to remove.

Look at the final stage resistor replacement shows how to remove the glove box..I did it per the DIY and it was great

the links have been fixed

Glove box removal - 1:

turn the clip below the glovebox a quarter-turn counterclockwise and remove it.

Glove box removal - 2:

release the damper of the glove box by pulling out the bolt.

Glove box removal - 3:

pull the right top corner of the glovebox in and then down..
