Broken into-----arghhhhhh!
Last night some idiot smashed the front passenger window of my X5. Frustrated doesn't begin to describe how I feel right now. Anyway, looks like it will cost over $500 for the dealership to put in a new one and could be much higher (I/m waiting for the final estimate). This is to small for me to bother with insurance on it.
Anyway, question is. Anyone know the part number for that window and a place to maybe get one. I have looked on the web but I'm not having any luck. Also has anyone actually replaced one of these themselves, I doubt it can be that hard. Thanks Dan |
shops order the glass based off the VIN. (rain sensor, tint, and whatnot.) my replacement was 570$ or so. most insurance comanies allow one windshield per year and they have no choice on factory glass because no one makes aftermarket. if you have the glass covered go through the insurance co, no rate increase on glass repair.
sorry dude. |

Thanks guys, quick responses there!, according to that website it looks like a new window may only be $140!
