How do I Remove Interior Wood Trim ?

Guys, please HELP!! I have a 2003 x5 4.6 and need to change my interior wood trim. I have the new trim and now am ready to change it. Ho do I remove the current trim? Every piece seems like it should pop out with a putty knife is that true? What about the center console piece and shift knob? This is what concerns me most because I dont want to damage anything. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

There are several thread on this, if you seatch in interior trim. You basically use a flat blade screw driver (tape the edge) to remove all the door and dash trim, for the console, you will need to remove the entire console - there is a write up on the home page that explains it

THANX!!! It seems like a big process to remove the entire console for just the trim though. Is it true? What about the shift knob?
