Has anyone added/changed/modified their lame OEM horn to a SUPER LOUD horn?

I am thinking of a super loud a$$ horn for my next mod. Can't stand idiots cutting me off etc and only getting a mediocre blast back. My old '87 325i had a horn with some ballz on it, so what's up with the newer BMW's horns really sucking?

remind me never to cut you off.

Haha, but seriously, a loud horn is a safety issue in my book. I've retrofitted my BMW motorcycle (R1150GS Adventure) with a nice loud aftermarket horn because it can become a true life & death saver when on the highway etc.

Seriously take your pick. http://www.hornblasters.com/?pageid=audio

You could go for either the bling chrome or stealth black of these:

Hella Supertones!!!!

having a horn like that would be best in a 3rd world country where no one listens, but here, its just annoying and dont see why you would need it!

Where are the horns? I think there are two of them? I opened the hood and can't seem to find them. I have a 4.4i.

[UNDFTD] 05-15-2007 04:06 PM

lol I was just about to tell you about hornblasters. My 1995 E34 525 had a loud ass horn. It was hillarious to see people jump.

toohotdoc 05-15-2007 05:31 PM

Sedoy 05-15-2007 06:23 PM

Are there any louder aftermarket horns that will replace the oem horns and hook right up to the wiring harness? Ids the only way to replace your horn to remove the front bumper cover???

NINCHS 05-28-2007 11:03 PM

id imagine the bumper would have to come off. I think I saw one of them when I was changing a fog bulb. drivers side after you pop out the fog assembely
