I had a local audio shop do that for me.. but its hardwired to the ignition so it turns on when i start the car and turns off when the car is turned off.

Do you think you can PM me or post here- a picture from the back of your car? Like a car length away or so- because I'm thinking about getting REMUS and have the identical vehicle, so just wanna have a little preview. Good job on the detail. Shiny.

nice pics, looks good to see a x5 a different green than mine. Do you have a 4.4 or 3.0, like to hear how that exhaust sounds if its a 4.4, and whats the width of your wheels?

I did the same thing myself with about $8.00 in parts from radio shack. Take in your radar buy the universal wire for a few bucks, and the proper 2 prong plug for your model. And a in-line fuse & holder for your cars 12v.

Pop out your map lights and find and tap into your wires.

FYI some wires up there will leave the radar on all the time. But the one I used turns the radar off when the cars aux power is cut off (like 5-10 min after the X is locked).

My radar is wired above my rearview out of sight with only a few inchs of wire coming out of the roof to connect to the radar.

The radar also turns on automatically when I unlock my doors.
