I have a fault (DSC, brake light, ABS, etc). The a/c also failed intermittantly. The dealership said the problem was the steering angle sensor. Email from dealership:
Chris we have some additional issues with your vehicle. We replaced the steering angle sensor and the fault for that has gone away, however on our test drive the 4by4, abs , and brake light came back on. We rescanned the vehicle and the only codes that returned are the can bus codes. The bus is the wiring which the computers for the powertrain communicate with each other. The tech said we could have a wiring issue or another one of the five modules on this bus system could be bad.
Since then, they now say the problem is the DSC Control Module which will cost $1900.00, (in addition to the Steering Angle Sensor). I am not sold on the idea that both went bad at the same time. Anybody have any experience in this?
