Trunk (lower part) will not open. Ideas?
 

I can open my trunk, but the lower part that folds down will not open. It makes the clicking noise when I press the middle square, but that's it.

I tried forcing it but it won't budge. Any ideas?

I had the smae problem a while ago, it happened intermittently.

All I done was to lock/unlock a few times using the key and its been fine since.

Have you tried opening the tailgate manually to see if the cable is binding or if there is an electrical issue? The procedure is in your manual and takes only a few seconds with a screwdriver.
