I've always adjusted mine a bit higher than the specs to get a bit longer throw on the low beams. If it's done with precision there is no problem of glaring. If I remember correctly E53 should be set to 1,2 % inclination, so I've gone more like 0,8 %. A laser pointer is good when you need to find the exact center line of the vehicle to where you're aiming. I've done the markers on a piece of cardboard so it's easy to just let it stand against the wall. With adaptive xenons you have to remember to use the light switch normal position, not the adaptive automatic position.
