Infinity Bass Link ???
Hello, has anyone installed the BassLink from Bav auto sport? I was thinking of doing this mod, since its a Plug and Play, I figured if I needed more trunk space I'd take it out and put it back in when needed. Just wanted to know your input on this basslink. Do you like it or do you hate it? Thanks...

Basslink... sure
I had a Basslink installed in my X for about 6 months...they sound pretty good. Eventually I upgraded to a seperate amp/speaker setup.

I have a basslink II sub.
250watt RMS. I don't know what the system specs are for the sub that they are offering, but what I have sounds okay. If you think the dsp system is loud enough and just needs more bass then this is for you. If you think the dsp system sucks then I suggest you get something with at least 500watt rms. |
Yeah, just need a little more thump and I'm good. Thanks to all...

Basslink is perfect if you just want more bass to go with the highs on the factory system.

I have had a BassLink (not the BassLink II) in another car (not the X5) since about 2000, and I love it. It still works flawlessly.
It doesn't take up a lot of space, yet the low end is impressive for such a small unit. Installation was fairly simple. It is definitely not powerful enough to make the cars around you shake, but I felt that it was more than powerful enough for inside the car. If you go for it, the only suggestion I have is that you should try it in a few different locations and see how it sounds before permanently attaching it to the floor. |
