Removing yellow indicators?

is there any way to remove the yellow glass from the indicators to make it appear clear? i have a 2002 X5 and the 2007 model has clear indicators, mine looks dated as a result.

many thanks in advance guys

you can buy headlights on Ebay from a 2000-2006 Sport Package X5. These have clear/white signal covers.

You'll need to bake open your headlights and pop the orange plastic off.

is it easy to do? i dont want to crack them and have to buy the whole assembly from the dealer at £200 at time ! what do u mean bake them open?

Check the articles in the home page. You basically bake your headlights at 250 degrees for about 15 mins to melt the glue and pull them apart.

A lot have done it and, as long as they headlights are within the correct date limit, they have had no problems.

I just did mine yesterday, I know that :worthless:

but it was very easy. Had only one problem and that was on my right headlight I did not seal it properly so it had condensation this morning. I know it will be fixed once I redo my bake job and possibly add angel eyes!!
