Any recommendations maybe bad ballasts? hard to think both are bad but who knows.... NINCHS or anyone? any feedback would be appreciated thx in advance !! I did email the company waiting to hear back from them..

I had three ballasts and all three were bad. Luckily jlevi is replacing them for me.

I PM'd this too you too.

I didnt wire mine as DRLs, i just tapped them into my fogs and they lit up when i turned my fogs on.
Are your DRLS turned on? your day time running lights have to be turned on by the dealer as it is a function of the ECU, so if your DRL's were not on before you wired the angel eyes, it means your DRLs are not receiving power.

the kit you ordered is the same as jlevis just minus the wire harness. You can test them yourself by dropping the ballast wires down to one of your fog lights and tapping into the fog light wires. its easy to take your fogs out. just pull the trim out, then there are two screws at the bottom of the fog light housing. then a stiff pull will pull the fog light out.

Hope this helps! and post some pics when you get it done!

good luck!

this seems to be a common problem with the ballasts and it sounds like jlevi is great about taking care of them. both of mine work great and they even come with a 1 yr warranty. so if it does turn out to be ballasts it should be taken care of.

thx for the input gals and guys, I believe the ballasts are bad also. Oh well wait another week or so hopefully blackbox carputers will accept only the ballasts for defect I would hate to have to remove all those rings I so carefully installed :) Michelle did you have to send the ballasts back to jlevi or did he just send you a new set?

NINCHS to the rescue, I tapped them into my fogs and the Angel eyes turned on !! I am very impressed with these AE's considering they are less than half the $$ of the competitors. I will try and post pics soon, but I figured this site has seen far too many do it yourself AE installs

Lesson learned is don't tap into the DRL's. The reason why is the DRL wires are not a 12 V source, rather it is reduced in voltage to make the lights dimmer then normal.

Yes I was not aware of the low voltage from the DRL's since the instructions had stated to tap into the DRL's. Good to know Ucrew thx

Actually NINCHS I ended up getting these AE's for $3.95 including shipping since paypal owed me some credit. The new thread should read Pics of AE's for $3.95 !! :)
