Sold The X!!!
 

Well, I sold my baby lol but I'm looking for a new 7 series. My dad has the 760li and I'm looking for a nice 745Li to take the X's place, lol being that I'm only 18 I dont think I can buy all that gas in the 760. Well, I got $29,000 for the X5 from a local buyer and I'm gonna post some pics of the 745 that I'm thinking of buying. Opinions will be appreciated!!!

Its an '04 with 67,000 miles. Spending 35000. The interior looks very unique, that's what caught my eye.

By the way, the X5 was a 2002 with 93,000 miles.

I like the interior of the 7, very unique, go for it!!!

You are a luck bastard!!! When I was 18 I only had a Jeep CJ-7 that I would work on myself in the driveway!!! (Yes, my parents could have afforded to get me a nice car;))

never a huge fan of the 7 series, driving it feels like maneuvering a boat IMO. Go with a M.

lol I actually got the X5 5 months before I turned 16 and modded it up so when I got my drivers license at 16, it would be modded! But I want a bigger and more luxurious car so nobody is going to change my mind on the 745 lol, I just want to know some opinions on the interior.

Let me get this straight you got 29,000 for your 02' X5 with 93,000 miles? thats a good sale! I wonder what he would offer for my 4.6 :)

I am liking the 7 series but it is in bad need of some nice 21's. I could imagine a bunch of mods that you will end up doing.

Get the 745, its what YOU want, f!!k what everyone else thinks, I had one for a day as a loaner and it was amazing handled great for a big car and the ride was super luxurious( I think I am acutally talking myself into one lol) like I said before the interior is wicked put some nice wheels on it and youre BAAAAALLIIIINNN :thumbup: :thumbup:

Sounds like a good buy. I am Ass man myself. The earlier version of 7 series butt never grows on me. I am sure you will find a way to mod it up. Congrats.

I like the interior, but I think that Chris Bangle has absolutely destroyed the look of all of the new BMWs exteriors.

If you're looking for a cool ride that's not just like your Dad's check out an A8...'course I'm biased ;)

Different people are at different economic levels. To some people spending $35,000 is like other folks spending $1,000. Good for this guy to have his folks buy him a nice car.

I had many friends who got a BMW, Porsche or a Range Rover for their first car. No big deal.

Well thanks to all who backed me up from the haters on this forum, just to name a few dr.jay, Aimster, vinuneuro, 2002silver4.6is, etc.... I loved owning the X5 and modifying it while sharing it with all the friendly users on this forum. The quote definitely describes, "X5world, where people come for the information, but stay for the friendship." Well, I ended up buying a 2003 CPO'd black sapphire on tan 745Li. Fully loaded with all the goodies and 57,000 miles for $40,000. I am very happy with my choice and I will post pics when I pic it up on Sunday morning. Once again, Thanks to all the friendly X5world members that helped me out through the "journey" of modding the X, and you guys will probably find me lurking around on the "other bmw's" forum and bimmerfest.com. Thanks to all and I will post pics when I get the new car, and btw to all the haters, I am very appreciative of everything I have and I dont take anything for granted so if you dont appreciate what I have to say then you simply dont have to post in the thread I started. I would say some nasty comments but you haters aren't worth my time.

You really shouldn't be starting a post if you can't take other peoples' point of view. I only seen some posts from Goodman that wasn't that great.
I think you made a big mistake; you are too young to drive an old mans car. You won't know this until you can reflect back at your past. What was I thinking about driving a 7 series at 18. I should had been driving a cool car at that age.
You would enjoy a sporty M3 much more! Better yet get a 335i convertible. That would be living life in the fast lane.

I would have wanted the M3 at 18 too, but I'll bet his parents are glad he got the 745 ?!?! For some reason, M3's make you do bad things...... At any age!
