Sold The X!!!

3 Attachment(s)
Well, I sold my baby lol but I'm looking for a new 7 series. My dad has the 760li and I'm looking for a nice 745Li to take the X's place, lol being that I'm only 18 I dont think I can buy all that gas in the 760. Well, I got $29,000 for the X5 from a local buyer and I'm gonna post some pics of the 745 that I'm thinking of buying. Opinions will be appreciated!!!

BTW I posted up some pics of my X5 in this thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...ictures-x.html

xnsf 06-21-2007 02:40 AM

Cngrats!

why 2 7ers?

go M5 :zoom:

xx3 06-21-2007 03:15 AM

how much are you spending? I sold my X3 for 30k and got my 06' ///M roadster for $52 OTD...

Hooray for fellow 18 year old X5world members !!

wees1234 06-21-2007 03:23 AM

Its an '04 with 67,000 miles. Spending 35000. The interior looks very unique, that's what caught my eye.

wees1234 06-21-2007 08:03 AM

By the way, the X5 was a 2002 with 93,000 miles.

dr.jay 06-21-2007 09:23 AM

I like the interior of the 7, very unique, go for it!!!

2002Silver4.6is 06-21-2007 10:11 AM

You are a luck bastard!!! When I was 18 I only had a Jeep CJ-7 that I would work on myself in the driveway!!! (Yes, my parents could have afforded to get me a nice car;))

Your dad want to adopt another son????

With all of the mods you did on the X5 I see you more as an M3 kind of a guy!!!

Ge the 7 series when you are 40 not 18!!!!

Wagner 06-21-2007 10:13 AM

never a huge fan of the 7 series, driving it feels like maneuvering a boat IMO. Go with a M.

wees1234 06-21-2007 10:34 AM

lol I actually got the X5 5 months before I turned 16 and modded it up so when I got my drivers license at 16, it would be modded! But I want a bigger and more luxurious car so nobody is going to change my mind on the 745 lol, I just want to know some opinions on the interior.

Obeticus4.6is 06-21-2007 10:52 AM

Let me get this straight you got 29,000 for your 02' X5 with 93,000 miles? thats a good sale! I wonder what he would offer for my 4.6 :)
Good choice on the 7 series by the way.

midwesterner 06-21-2007 11:20 AM

I am liking the 7 series but it is in bad need of some nice 21's. I could imagine a bunch of mods that you will end up doing.

I vote for it!

streetsoffire 06-21-2007 11:33 AM

29gees for 02 wiff 93,000 miles? Eveytime I sell a whip, I am making sure it is posted in Dearborn......evidently there is something in the water.......

Sounds like a good buy. I am Ass man myself. The earlier version of 7 series butt never grows on me. I am sure you will find a way to mod it up. Congrats.

avo8686 06-21-2007 06:15 PM

I rather spend 35 on a used M3

Goodman 06-21-2007 06:38 PM

A new 7 just what every 18 year old needs?

vinuneuro 06-21-2007 06:51 PM

You're a lil young for a 7 don't you think?

Goodman 06-21-2007 06:59 PM

Poor little rich boy

Goodman 06-21-2007 07:00 PM

Do you think that is what Paris got for her 18th year birthday?

vinuneuro 06-21-2007 07:06 PM

Dude..quit being a prick. You got your point across with the first post.

My vote is for some kind 3 or 5.

Goodman 06-21-2007 07:09 PM

Not trying to be a prick, just don't understand what parent would buy an 18 year old a new BMW?

vinuneuro 06-21-2007 07:12 PM

It's his parents' money and discretion to do what they think is fit.

Goodman 06-21-2007 07:17 PM

That's true, how does that song go

Oh daddy won't you buy me a MB

Scott in Cincy 06-21-2007 08:00 PM

I like the interior

I like the interior, but I think that Chris Bangle has absolutely destroyed the look of all of the new BMWs exteriors.

If you're looking for a cool ride that's not just like your Dad's check out an A8...'course I'm biased ;)

A little jealous bud?? I bet when you are thirsty you reach for a glass of HATERade, also its a used BMW not new

Goodman 06-21-2007 09:47 PM

I paid for my BMW with money I earned, why would I be jealous

FrankX5 06-21-2007 09:51 PM

I don't think he's being jealous, he does have one of his own. But I don't really think this kid is grateful for what he has. He's not modest at all. BTW you shouldn't be worried about gas if your spending the bread on the car.

Different people are at different economic levels. To some people spending $35,000 is like other folks spending $1,000. Good for this guy to have his folks buy him a nice car.

I had many friends who got a BMW, Porsche or a Range Rover for their first car. No big deal.

Goodman, should we be saying "Poor bitter poor guy" about you?? Stop being such a hater!!

Thanks for backing me up but I never knew there were that many pricks on this site. Well, its been fun with the X5 im out!

Aimster 06-22-2007 02:28 AM

leave the kid alone.

Good for him and his family.

The only time I would say "poor little rich boy" is if he was going around acting like he was the king. Then I think he would deserve a slap.I don't think he is acting like the king.

Just my .02.

dr.jay 06-22-2007 08:44 AM

Good luck with your choice, next time hit up the folks for a M5 or M6

PLAYERPRO 06-22-2007 09:00 AM

what year is that 745...? stay away from 01-03's

and Good Luck 2 ya!

blackbeauty 06-22-2007 01:29 PM

i love the 7 series!! and the interior is unique!
however, with that being said, i saw an M5 yesterday in the parking lot...

wees1234 06-22-2007 03:22 PM

Well thanks to all who backed me up from the haters on this forum, just to name a few dr.jay, Aimster, vinuneuro, 2002silver4.6is, etc.... I loved owning the X5 and modifying it while sharing it with all the friendly users on this forum. The quote definitely describes, "X5world, where people come for the information, but stay for the friendship." Well, I ended up buying a 2003 CPO'd black sapphire on tan 745Li. Fully loaded with all the goodies and 57,000 miles for $40,000. I am very happy with my choice and I will post pics when I pic it up on Sunday morning. Once again, Thanks to all the friendly X5world members that helped me out through the "journey" of modding the X, and you guys will probably find me lurking around on the "other bmw's" forum and bimmerfest.com. Thanks to all and I will post pics when I get the new car, and btw to all the haters, I am very appreciative of everything I have and I dont take anything for granted so if you dont appreciate what I have to say then you simply dont have to post in the thread I started. I would say some nasty comments but you haters aren't worth my time.

xnsf 06-22-2007 03:30 PM

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

does it have sport? does it have sport? does it have sport???

I agree... it is unfortunate that we all can't get along...

Congrats on the new car though... from one 18 year old BMW owner to the next :)

dr.jay 06-22-2007 05:06 PM

Enjoy

OT...

Ah, B...Goodman, that would be:

"Oh, Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz (sic); my
friends all drive Porches, I must make amends..."

Sung by and co-written by, Janis Joplin.

Wees: Good Luck on your new ride!

You really shouldn't be starting a post if you can't take other peoples' point of view. I only seen some posts from Goodman that wasn't that great.
I think you made a big mistake; you are too young to drive an old mans car. You won't know this until you can reflect back at your past. What was I thinking about driving a 7 series at 18. I should had been driving a cool car at that age.
You would enjoy a sporty M3 much more! Better yet get a 335i convertible. That would be living life in the fast lane.

Good luck with your 745i.

I would have wanted the M3 at 18 too, but I'll bet his parents are glad he got the 745 ?!?! For some reason, M3's make you do bad things...... At any age!
