Indash cd cover sticking

In my 05 4.4 the cd cover for the in dash cd player is sticking. When I press it to open it it sticks and I have to open it by pulling it up a bit then pressing it. Anyone know how to fix, or adjust this? Is it covered under the warranty?

Is there any way I can adjust, or fix it without having to bring it in?

There is usually a locking tab that breaks and the complete cd "door" mechanism needs to be replaced. There really isnt any adjustment. If you wanted to take a look for yourself, you will need to remove the MID and CD/Radio.

I just did that and everything is entact. When the radio is out the cd cover works fine. It seems that the radio unit is preventing the cd door from being pushed in enough for it to deisengage to open...any ideas of this?

With the door open, does the wood trim look like it is straight or does it have an inward warp in the center?

The only other thing I would know to check is that the CD/Radio is installed all the way in (bottomed out) by applying some pressure then tighten down. If that doesnt work then I would just have the door mechanism replaced.
