Any wrench monkeys in da house - repair costs question

Just short of what's being covered....I'm also looking at the following

TStat - $90
Gaskets - $11'ish
Alt Belt - $43
AC Belt - $30

Parts are higher than MSRP ....jeez.

Labor is around $146 for the *extras* not covered just short of waterpump/labor that is covered.

My dealer did the pump, t'stat, t'stat housing and belts under CPO. did not even charge the $50 they usually charge.

A little bit OOP (out of pocket) but the X repairs has started.

Dealer got NA to approve the pump and then after I gave them my warranty info for the dealer to submit for labor - they renegged on the pump and went after 3rd party warranty for pump and labor. $100 deductible. I was firm that BMW NA regardless of 3rd party warranty or not, should have honored this under goodwill as they replaced the pump awhile back due to some noise.

So all in all, including parts, labor and $100 deduct for water pump covered under xt warranty, I'm about $350 less. I even called out the SA on why he was charging me MORE than MSRP and was given the typical .......

Dealers, can't live with them, can't live without them. Had I been doing the water pump etc. out of pocket I would not have been near the dealer. I have seen some here report a bill in the order of $1600 for the water pump, belts, t'stat/housing.
They used a $49.95 reman water pump so it will be getting pulled and replaced with the Bavarian upgrade pump at sdome stage.

The pump blew out while I was on the road. It seemed like I caught it in time, as the heavy knocking made me pull over. Just as I pulled to the right, it stalled out on me. Aboutt 10 seconds later, did the pump blow out and coolant leaked out.

Just short of a H gasket, etc, I did not want any muss or fuss so I had it towed to the dealership, since they could pull codes, etc. I intentionally did not mention the 3rd party since I wanted their response about goodwill warranty replacement before asking or approving of any work done

I do understand that the profit margins would prob be less if covered under BMW NA, and they did change their tune when I sent my info for the labor portion of the repair......I was not sure if they were going to *stand* by the customer or just go for the more profit repair.
