Sprint Booster

Anyone have any experience with this device before? For use with drive-by-wire throttles, its a plug-and-play intermediate connection between the gas pedal and the throttle's electronic control module. I'm no expert but what i understand it does is amplifies throttle inputs (ie how much you press the gas pedal) to provide increased responsiveness.

Here's a link to a site pushing the device http://www.sprint-booster.co.uk

Had the chance to try it briefly over the weekend. Could certainly feel the difference...just slight pressure on the gas pedal and the car shoots off. Increased responsiveness while on the move as well. Bit like the sports mode but at least twice more the effect.

Not too sure about how it might affect any of the car's other systems or any other side or long term effects though. Any opinions/comments?

Here's some information from the M5board. The members there have listed the pros and cons.

Not much bang for the buck, IMHO...
