Multi Information Display- HELP!!!
 

The Pixels went dead on my MID unit below the tape deck. (2001 X5 3.0d sport)
I have bought a new unit from ebay and the guy assured me all pixels were working and the picture showed it fully working also. Plugged it in and the pixels are dead in exactly the same place as my old one.

Is there anything else that could be making the pixels not work?
where does the signal feed come from serving the MID unit?

Any advice would be really appreciated as its quite annoying :(

I have seen other posts referring to US companies to get a fix but i'm in the UK.

If the exact problem exists across two units then it must be in the wiring to the unit or the information the unit is receiving.
Check all connections.

Thanks, do you know where the unit receives its info from? I have checked the connections which seem fine.

Most likely the "I" or "K" bus.
Try getting some electronic contact/switch cleaner from Maplics and spray it around all the contacts.
