Interior tailgate lights
 

Hey guys, I've search this forum and read the manual, but I still can't figure out how to turn the interior lights on the tailgate off. I can hold down the center switch of the dome light by the front mirror, and it kills the interior lights. But, the liftgate lights are still on.

Has anyone found a way to turn them off so that the tailgate can be left open without running the battery down?

Yes, you can reach up and with your thumb, close the latch mechanism on the hatch, tricking the hatch into thinking it's closed. Just remember to open the latch before you close the hatch. Also, the lights will time out by themselves if left on for 8 - 10 minutes.
