2001 BMW 4.4i hood removal!!
 
Can anyone help with this? I want to remove my old hood and bumper anyone have instructions or list of tools needed for this project. Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Removing the hood shouldn't be too difficult. Look around for screws and bolts and remember to remove the windshield washer jets as well....a simple clip on.

As for the bumper I followed these directions.

The bumper is easy. Just make sure you have a padded place to set it down so you do not scratch it. I have done it twice now and can get it off in 20 minutes.

Thank's guys. what tools would I need for this type of job? Phillips, torx, hex? the job looks simple I just want to be prepared for anything that comes along.

Front bumper cover is metric sockets. Nothing exotic..... not too sure on the hood.

Once you remove the final two bolts from each wheel well you will need to "pry" the bumper cover out a bit to get it off. It kind of "snaps into place".

You never mentioned if you do have the headlight washers.....

yes I do have the washers on mines. I litterally want to take off and adjust and paint.
