Replace torn boot of tie rod
 

The cover boot/duct cover of my left tie rod is torn. I am thinking of changing it myself. Does anyone here has the experience on it? Is it easy to do it? I read the repair instruction in BMW TIS, it looks very easy to do it.

yes it's easy. just remember if you are reusing the tie rod, use a puller to remove the joint so you don't damage it.

How did the replacement turn out??? I may have to do mine aswell! How much was the new boot and how long did it take??
