auto folding mirrors help!
 

Today I folded one of my side mirror manually and i when i press the button for the mirriors it made a werid noise and the other side folded but when i press the button again it wouldnt unfold so i manually unfold it.... I continue trying to press the button but nothing happened until later on the day.... Anyone know if i damaged the motor or gearing for the auto folding mirriors?

Push both mirrors forward and press the button to reset them.

There is a breaker built into the mirrors to prevent them from being overworked. The circuit usually resets after 10 mins or so. Find out which side causes the noises and have it replaced because the motor is bad. If you're still under warranty, dealer will replace at no cost. They will have to remove the door panel to replace the mirror. And yes, the whole mirror housing has to be replaced, not just the motor.
