CPO Coverage Question (Alarm)

Hello,

My alarm started acting up in my '02 X5 and I think it is either a door or hood sensor. The alarm just goes off randomly when the car is locked.

My X is covered under the CPO and I called the stealer to setup an appointment for next week. The lady I spoke to had no clue whether it would be covered under CPO. Does anyone know whether something like this would/should be covered under CPO so I can be prepared? If there isn't a shot, I'm going to call the stealer and cancel the appt.

Thanks!

if it'a a BMW Alarm.. no aftermarket ..it's covered... if they (tech) find any wiring or electrical problem associated with Mods on the vehicle ..it won't be covered...
you have no mods, and no owner abuse as they put it all the time ..it's covered..

Oh and don't forget CPO comes with a deductable $50.00

Good Luck!

Hi!

Thanks for the response. The only mods I performed were adding a pnp satellite radio and the dice unit. Wonder if I should remove it prior to taking it in?

These items definitely didn't cause the issue as I had them installed 4 months before the issue started occuring.
