Just done 2004 Face Lift Tail Lights

Well I fitted the 2004 BMW facelift tail lights into my 2003 X. I read some of the info that was posted here about buying retro fit kits etc from BMW to make them work, but I done this mode without having to buy any kits from BMW! So here is my very simple guide to fitting the lights. I discovered by just swapping "ONE" wire on the original plugs that everything worked. Very simple to do and with the aid of a friends facelifted X5 I was able to tell what wire to switch. I done the complete conversion in about 30mins and love the look. Here are some pics:

Yeah there is a difference, maybe hard to tell in the pics but in reality its a cleaner sharper look. Does this help a bit better?

those are really nice, good job of choosin the last set.....Any details on a reliable sellers for the taillights in the last pic, how much and where from?

Sudesh 08-20-2007 07:58 PM

There are quite a few sellers on ebay for the lights, I got mine of a Uk based seller but I noticed there are alot more seller on the US ebay. There are also a few other members on here that have the same lights that might be able to help better. Mine cost me about $200 and came with all the bulbs and plug and play wiring.
