HID in drls question

I want to put HID in the headlights of my x. I dont like the yellow drls... Its okay when i turn on the main lights because the oem hids are on. But question is, what is the bulb size, and if its possible, since its hi and low beam...

Just turn the drls off. You cannot make them any whiter as they use a reduced AC voltage for the drls. You'll need the dealer's services to change the programming.

:iagree:,

You can try 6000K-8000K 9005 Bulbs on eBay.

If it was using full voltage then the lights would not be so yellow. Because of the low voltage no matter what bulbs you fit they will look yellow!

but dont hid kits only draw 35watts... which is low voltage?

OK I may have got it wrong. Are you talking about the Daylight Running lights or the high beam lights?
DLRLs use low voltage. If it's the high beam then you might need to change bulbs.

Not necessarily, all halogen 6000K+ use blue glass which will make the lights look blue even at low voltage.

35W is a unit for measuring power output. Voltage is the energy of electric field. Regular HID ballasts use DC 9-18 V. I believe DRLs use lower nominal voltage, so you won’t be able to power HID ballast.
Just use blue 9005 bulbs from eBay.
