wierd sound in front end
So I am driving along in my 02 X5 3.0 and I go over a bump (of which there are many here in Michigan) and I hear this clunking sound coming from what seems to be the driver's side front wheel. I keep hitting bumps and it keeps happening, does anybody have any idea what this could be? I'm taking it to the stealership Monday if I can. Thanks for your help.

My suspicion is either lower control arms or the swing supports (see part labeled number 7 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...23&hg=31&fg=10)

:iagree: Some mechanics will call it a sway bar and sway bar links, but it's the same thing. Similar problem here and the only front suspension component with any play in it was the link.
