noises, noises
I have a couple of "noises" questions to see if anyone has had the same and was able to solve it.
1- My rear left brake (only) makes an annoying squealing sound when I step on the brake. Just in the first part when the brake is applied. The pads and rotors are fine and have plenty of life left. Anything I can put to stop it? Would anti-squealing grease will work? 2- Not super important but can't figure out why this happens. If I am listening to AM radio, when I hit the brake pedal I hear a whistling sound interfering on the radio. Any clue why this happens? Thanks P |
the am antenna is located in the "spoiler" above the rear hatch window, this i also where the third brake light is housed. we have wrapped the back of the third brakelight with aluminium tape to eliminate the interference.it seems to work pretty well

As for as your brakes go, never put any grease or lubricant near the pads or rotors! There is a possibility that there may be a small stone or dirt stuck between the pads and rotors try reversing in a safe area, at a faster than normal speed and applying brakes harder than usual this should clear out any debris. Is there any abnormal lines grooved into the rotor? Past a pic if your not sure? CHECK INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF ROTOR. hop

Thank you very much guys. I will try your suggestions this weekend and let you know how they work out.
