Interesting ugly BMW fender flares
Precision-fit fender flares formed from semi-rigid polyurethane emphasize the X5's stance with seamless style. Can be used in conjunction with running boards but not with the brushed aluminum running boards.

i actually saw one of those on a black x5 while i was driving on the freeway a few months ago and made me look twice because it made the x5 beefier and realized it did have that fender flare on it. black on black might not look as bad.
i think! |
Or painted... But certainly not black against any other color.

I live in South Carolina not far from the BMW plant here. I have seen several unmarked X5's around with integrated flared fenders and wide tires. It looks awesome, almost as if it were an "M" version.

Those have been for sale since at least fall of '01; they were in our
8/01 build "parts catalog" they tossed in our new car at delivery. |

Where did you get the bonnet (hood) protector from, and what is it made of? Thanks Colin. |

That bug deflector is also avail. via the parts cat./parts dept, at least here in the US. It only comes in black, from BMW. Thus, most of us pass. |
That picture is out of the accessories catalog. The hood protector is an OEM accessory; therefore, may be ordered from any BMW dealer.

Got to love oddly placed two-tone.
