Thank you X5WORLD...Final Stage Resistor Replaced

My FSR went dead on Saturday, i posted a thread to ask where i can get the replacement unit, quickly AIMSTER replied me with a website called autohausaz.com i order it for $80 on Sunday night , they shipped out on monday, i got it this afternoon, spent the next 10 mins reading the FSR replacement Article and do exactly what the article says, MAN, it works beautifully I i didn't have to remove the glove box. My AC now is not fluctuating anymore like before. It is blowing really cold air and it turns off when i turn off the car, it didn't before.
Thanks to xoutpost.com especially the author of the article and AIMSTER.

I replace mine 3 weeks ago with the info I got from this board, its seems to be blowing colder than before now with the new FSR.

Indeed there is! I'm glad NOVA got his fix done...NOVA should consider
jumping into the Premo gang to help support the site, imo!

I replaced the FSR today to solve the fan not running problem . I didnt put it back in its holder under the dash since i wanted to see if it worked. Well it worked on high for about 5 minutes then the fan died again . I felt the FSR and it was so hot it burned my hand. I let it cool down and it worked again for the same amount of time. Do you think that the motor is drawing too many amps ? or do i need to put it back under the dash (maybe the fans cools it under there ) ? Thanks in advance .. Keith

DITTO. Thanks X5 World. Just replaced my FSR, and my blowers working great. Great write-up. Also had to replace door carrier and reprogram keys and did so with the help of this site. As my great grandma would say....this site is the shiznit!!

In the processof doing mine now and need a bit of help.

2003, 3.0L. I am in the reassembly stage. I seem to have a wire/plug that I have forgotten where it cam from. It is in the same bundle as the glovebox light, 2 female connections and wires are purple and brown. Ordinarily I would say the flashlight but I don't have one.

Suggestions anyone???

Thanks in advance.
