windshield wippers problem....
 

I was washing my car the other day and i noticed that the left wiper in front cannot be put up but the other one can. when i tried to put it up it end up scratching up the end of my hood.. anyone else have this problem?? i have a 2005 4.4 X5...

Well, I am not sure that I'd call this a "problem." That is the way the car is designed. The wipers "hide" under the hood while not in use -- a common approach with some manufacturers.

Did you try turning on the wipers for just a second and stop them while they're at the top?

Nope, it's normal.

It's meant to improve "aerodynamic", according to BMW.
