Door lock question?? Help?

the odd time I will come out and the unlock on the key and every door will open except the passenger front. I see it move like it wants to open but not all the way. It happens maybe 2 out of 10 times. Any ideas?

needs lubrication or replacement

i have the same problem with my driver's door. especially troublesome in the winter. not so much in the summer but i can see it is a bit lazier than the rest.

i'm going to take off the inside door panel to see if i can fix it with some lubricant or else replace it. not many other solutions.

Replace the door lock actuator and all will be good as new.

I had this same thing happening in the back on one of the doors and the dealership replaced the actuator and it is fine now.

It happens more when its colder out?? maybe some lubricant will help. Anyone have any ideas as to what lubricant would be best?

I know but why not do the cheapest fix first? $5 for lube vs $____ for actuator? thats what I think anyways?

Try it and let us know if it works. I just haven't heard of anyone solving the actuator problem that easily.

Good luck!

On my new 06 about 6 months after I picked it up the pass door wouldn't unlock at all. I took it in, they fixed it and it did the same thing a week later. I was pissed as I have to drive over 200 miles for the nearest service. Eventually they admitted it was corrosion somewhere in a wiring harness and they had to replace an entire harness from somewhere under the hood to the door. Then, when I got it home I noticed all of the wood trim on both doors was cracked apparently from them removing the door panels. Be careful if you remove your own door panels so this doesn't happen. My X is in service right now as the A/C went out just before summer so I had no A/C all summer. They said a valve leaked and it lost .2 pounds of freon and there is only 1 pound in the whole system. Also, since they took off the door panels there was a bad rattle in the pass door I'm hoping they now fixed. I pick it up once I get off the plane tomorrow in Minneapolis so I'll see how they did.
