Tailgate Auto Lock.
 

say if your driving then pull over to get something out of the back you press the tailgate button to open the trunk and as you close the drivers side door the trunk auto locks, Does any one else find this annoying?

It is due to the air pressure. You close the driver's door, and air pushes the tailgate up, then the pressure dissipates and the tailgate falls back, engaging the lock. Yes, annoying, but understandable considering the otherwise very desirable airtight nature of the vehicle.

It used to be very annoying...

just unlock all the doors before you get out and just open the tailgate from the outside via the button where the license plate is.
