3rd party Extended Warranty
based on your experience, which is better, Warranty Direct or GE? i have 04 X5 3.0, 49,750 miles or Dec this year.... TIA....
|
Several of us here, have WarrDirect. No experience with GE.
Some of us have had to use WD with very good results. Clock is ticking...WD now has a 30 day no cover period, I believe. GL,mD |
which leads me to my next question, which plan, MajorCare,LuxuryCare, or SecureCare? im thinking of getting 3yrs/100Kmiles or 4yrs/100Kmiles...

I am looking at extended warranty too. Does anyone think Warranty Direct will follow the Warranty Gold footstep to go bankrupt?
How about GE? Is that a subdivision of General Electric? Where to buy it? Does anyone has experience on claims? Some companies like to make excuses of not paying. Thanks!! |
I have researched Warranty Direct and Auto Warranty Broker and find auto warranty to have the best coverage for the $$$$

more info on GE warranty
http://www.geaws.com/b2b/publicjsp/product_option.jsp and you can only buy it at participating automotive dealers, you cant buy it online.... i will visit JMK-BMW this week as they sell this GE warranty, hopefully i can get a good deal... |
Jay, can you provide us your findings about the availability and the cost of the GE warranty? Thanks!!
|
sure, no problem...
|
I had two visits to the dealer and both times the bill (parts & labor) were paid by WD without hesitation. The total cost of claims paid to date exceed the cost of the contract.
Money well spent. |
I have W.D., I have had my rear susp. module go ($910) and a window regulator and they were covered both times. It has already paid for itself in just those repairs
