Need more help on 4 spoke steering wheel removal

Okay so I got my 3 spoke sport wheel and airbag today installed it without any problem using this wonderful board as my DIY source. Is there a way to resett the airbag light. My E53 is 2003 so I assume that sports steering wheel retrofits should be plug and play as it also has a 2 stage airbag system.

I did the same install on my '04 just last weekend. No error on mine.
Will starting and shutting off the engine five to six times work ? Had the same issue when I had my E46, it went away by itself when I did that.

Thaks 04x5dude. I'll try that out and if that doesn't work, I'll take it to the dealer.

I think you can try starting the car, then turning the steering wheel all the way to the right then all the way to the left. I know that reset warning lights for me....

mine did same thing

I just got my X back from the dealer. I told my SA that I had to check the horn connection at the back of the airbag and so I needed to disconnect the bag and the airbag light went on (that was the best BS I could give at that time). The technician looked at it and said that there was a stage1 and stage 2 error in the code reader. In simple terms, the plugs of the airbag weren't pushed all the way in (I guess I was intimidated by the warning sign at the back that says....explosion warning!!! that I didn't plug it all the way in) So the service Tech took out the airbag, pushed the plugs properly and reset the airbag light. Good thing SA was a friend of mine and didn't charge me for anything (That should have been $130). Anyway, now I know better.

I think the reset tool from Peake is a good investments if you plan to do DIY stuff ($129)

here's the pic of the wheel with the badge of AC Schnitzer. Please give me your opinion on whether the roundel is better or the AC wannabee
