Rotating tires?

Hey I have about 4K miles on my tires and was wondering should i rotate it and when? I have sport package so the tires and rims are same size..

rotate every 5k..balance every 10k.

Manual does not recommend rotating the tires on the X5. I believe that most folks here do not rotate.

BMW studied rotation of tires and does not recommend doing it. Economics suggest it is not worth the money.
