I need some help... yesterday i've installed the Navigation System OS v28, after i inserted the CD, it said something like "Software upgrading, please wait", after that my screen went blank... I've waited a while, after that i got out the CD and the menu was changed but the "GPS Navigation" option is gone now... Does anybody know why and how i could get that back? Thanks... And also, i don't know what OS version i had before, but that's not a problem, i just want GPS Navigation back in the menu...

The year is December 2004 and the make is BMW X5.
I've tryed to burn the latest OS on a CD, inserted in the DDV but nothing happens... it's like it's not reading the CD... is there a way i can reinstall (or reset) or something... Thanks.

The process for upgrading the Navi OS can be painstaking as far as the burning process is concerned.

The following link will point you in the right direction to address your problem. The down side is your going to have to read thru the information, follow directions to the letter and use very good media to accomplish your goals.

Shortcuts will only short-circuit the process and you will have to start over again. This is the same process we have all gone thru. But take heart it does work. :thumbup:
