noise from left-front, wheel?
 

Hello
I have recently bought a 2002 X5 4.4.
I find it a Great car, however I have now got one small problem..
When I just bought the car it was very very silent.
After driving +/- 2.000 kms I now hear a whining sound from the left front, as if the tires have got minor cupping. However the tire is not the problem, I mounted a brand new tire and no change.
Could it be the wheel bearings or CV joints? I also saw the axle for the rwd running on the left side??

Has anyone got some suggestions?

I think your right it sounds like a wheel bearing.
