Today I went back to dealer to complain of the jerk and lack of power between 30-40 mph. They said that it is known problem and want to take car back and drive with it more to analyze what is the next step. I'm now scheduled next week to drive with the main workshop tech to see how to proceed. My friend works for BMW manuf and said to keep on pushing with local dealer, it is a problem they need to fix. Let's see how it pays out.

Im having the same problem, Please keep us updated on the results. |
04-06 is a different transmission, 6 speed with it's own set of issues.
The 02-03 is a 5-speed. The dealer more than likely re-set the transmission adaptive values even thought the EGS has the latest and greatest SW. Drive it for a couple of weeks so the transmission "re-learns" how you drive and see how it is then. |
I'm still working with dealership to get this jerking problems soleved. Latest development is that dealer admitted their problems with the software update. In order to make needed adjustments done right they need to pay with software manually and then fix will kick in (read remove jerking problems). I'm now scheduled to go back next week and hopefully jerking will be history then.
Keep pushing the dealer (ask to see their service key technician to talk / drive w/ you) and they will help. |
