What works for me is loosening the screws that attaches the headlight assembly, pulling it out slightly so you can take out the black, round plastic that covers the xenon bulb. Sorry to revive an old thread but just wanted to state that I followed these instructions and had the xenon bulb replaced in about 20 minutes... I've seen other threads where the airbox has to be removed, the battery disconnected, yaddiyadda... this works and works well... just wasn't sure about the possibility of an electrical discharge so I took basic precautions and it took very little time...

Bringing this back from the dead......I've got to replace my low beam HID lamps but I have the headlight washers on the bumper. I assume you guys do not have this option? I can pull the headlight out to a point but the washers get in the way. I really do not want to remove the bumper cover. Any suggestions?

sasquatch, sprry to say but you have to remove the bumper (super dupear easy)
check "how to's" for a diy on how to remove 04-06 bumpers. lots of little screws holding it on, but its NOT hard and really only takes 10 min to remove and re-install. just be careful of the plastic clips at the top of the bumper as it attaches by the wheel wells.

Are you saying you have the headlights sprayers? I have those and they were definitely not in the way... definitely did not have to take the bumper off. If you do have a different style of headlight washer and you have to take the bumper off, might I suggest to go in from within the engine compartment and remove the airbox and other peripherals.

^that's how I suggest people remove the headlamps also. Take it slow and they will slide out.

Yeah I already got a set of Philips 85122wx lamps for pretty cheap.

Can you maybe go into the differences between the different 85122 D2S lamps?

Looking in my product guides form Philips I'm not seeing a 85112xm so at this time I cannot comment on the difference between it and the 85122cm.

I edited the post.......85122wx. Suppose to replace the 85122+ lamps.

And from what I've read on other forums there are fake Philips lamps being sold on places like Ebay. I bought mine from an Amazon seller who is legit but I'm beginning to question if the lamps are real Philips or not.
