Need Quick Help!!! Instrument Cluster
 

I just put aluminum guage rings in my 2002 X5 and thought everything was going well until I put the instrument panel back in the X5. The top line of the pixel panel where the odometer reading, trip mileage, and temperature are not lit. The bottom half where the computer info is displayed is lit VERY brightly.

Could this be as simple as the small light bulbs behind the odometer panel have burned out?

The panel was working perfectly until I took the cluster out today. The panel has already been replaced once by BMW and I doubt they'll do it again.

Anyone know what I did and can help me fix it quick? What have I done???
