Aftermarket HID issue
 

I have an aftermarket HID kit for my 04 X5 3.0. Its all wired up, and I have resistors wired into the stock halogen wiring which is supposed to take care of the lower wattage issue. But when I turn on the engine, the lights will start to flicker after a little more than a minute. I know the resistors are hooked up ok because they get scalding hot (they're the gold colored ones that that have the ridges for the heat sink). Anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? If i turn on my foglights when i switch on my engine the lights are ok and don't flicker.
