Dont both mirrors dimmed.
 

Hey guys . Just curious I'm not to sure, but are'nt both mirrors so pose to dimmed .Any ideas or could it just be the one mirror on the drivers side gone bad.

I didn't know the side mirrors dimmed. I thought only the rear-view mirror dimmed?

just rear-view I believe.

On mine, rear mirror and both door mirrors dim

Yeah on mine, both wing mirrors and interior mirror dim also.

On my X all the mirrors dim also.

if your side mirrors do not have a blue tint, they are supposed to dim

Was there a certain year this started and is it on certain models.

I thought it was an option that you got with folding door mirrors (option 430 I think). If you have folding mirrors they should dim also.

The Auto-Dimming outside/Power folding mirrors are an option on the 3.0i from I believe 2001+

They we're included as an option on the 4.4i 2001+ and included in the ZPP Premium Package 2004.5+

I do not have folding mirrors and they both dim

if you have power folding mirrors, it means you have auto dimming mirrors

if you have auto dimming mirrors, it does not mean you have power folding mirrors

power folding mirrors were available on 2003+

vehicles equipped with premium package with auto dimming mirrors on all 2003s

2004-2006, power folding mirrors with auto dimming come with premium package for V8s (nearly all 4.4s came with premium package; for 3.0, auto dimming mirrors were optional, and in conjunction with premium package came with power folding mirrors.
