Pirelli Snow & Ice Tires year round?

Anybody running Pirelli Snow & Ice Tires year round? If so, how long do they last and how do they handle and sound when its dry

Winter tires are for cold weather. Summer tires for hot.

winter tires get used very quickly in warm weather. they don't grip well. and they lose the necessary qualities for winter driving.

each type of tire is made for specific use and is not suitable for the other.

They will handle adequately but not nearly as well as an all-season radial and they will also burn down fast. The compound is not the same between a snow tire and a all-season or summer tire.

Yes, I keep reading that Winter tires should be used during the proper season. Anybody with personal experience with running these year round. I picked up a set of these almost new for dirt cheap for a staggered wheel setup and would prefer not to pick up another set of rims.

The will handle OK, but in warm weather the tread gets totally wrecked and worn down quickly. It would surprise me if you used it year round if you would get a year out of them if you do any decent amount of driving like a daily commute.

Have not run them all year round...

Just think of it this way or ask yourself these questions...

Would you wear your leather office shoes in the basketball court to play? Would you wear the same shoes when going for a 5mile run?

I sure wouldn't!

Bad idea to run snow tires in the summer.
Tread compound is very soft, they will wear down very quickly and be junk by the end of the summer.

Look on fleaBay for a set of OEM X5 rims, they can be had for good prices.
